I’ve had a busy few months.
My team and I have visited Taihape, Taumarunui, Shannon, Sanson, Bulls, Marton, Feilding and Himitangi Beach.
We’ve worked the phones every Wednesday evening.
We’ve gone to markets here, there and everywhere to talk to people.
We’ve had street corner meetings.
I’ve been out and about with MPs visiting the area.
I had a great time at Clubs Day on Massey campus. I found some of my students from last year working on the Young Nats table (not pictured). I told them that I was thrilled to see that they were getting involved and getting political. I’ve also talked to students in the public speaking class at Massey, Speaking Theory and Practice. Years ago, I was a tutor in that class, so it was an honour to be asked to go back and talk to them. I urged them to get involved!
It has all been incredibly busy, but great fun, and very, very rewarding. I’ve met some marvellous people, and I’ve been buoyed by the level of support for Labour here in the regions.
